Low cost products purchased from Wish, and my review!
We meet again! I thought I would take my reviews a little further, by getting things I want from Wish and reviewing the cost V product as well as expectation V reality of the product. This idea has come from a lot of you tubers recently and I thought it would be a lot of fun! Let’s get into it!
Unfortunately 2 of my items didn’t arrive so I cannot include them so apologies for that! The way this will work is I will have the advert and the image next to it with the review underneath for each item!
Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of this one new but I can review it anyway!
This light was free! Now a lot of people think free things are negotiable. This one isn’t! of course you have to pay shipping but it wasn’t too expensive, I think it was about $5 to Australia & it shipped super-fast too!
Now my apartment has low lighting as it doesn’t face the sun! I have already seen improvement with just my selfies and even photos from far away. There are 3 light settings depending on how strong you need the light based on distance and the image you want to portray. I think for a beginner light it is really handy and good practice until I can afford a proper ring light setup!
The next item, I paid $14 for with free shipping. The expectation V reality is there is a difference in the insole color, the shoes themselves are thinner than the expected result but this could be due to the cheaper quality. I tested them for a little bit, and while they won’t be useful for long wear, they will be cute with Lolita or casual outfits where you aren’t walking heaps. The only issue I find is the clasps themselves aren’t your normal ones where you thread them through the loops, they kind of hook on so if you run or walk heaps there is a chance of them falling off. I guess for the cost of them I did OK but I can get a better quality from Kmart or Target for around the same price.
The next item is the famous meme “deal with it” glasses. Now my partner had a pair of the original released item (official) and unfortunately they broke while we were travelling. So I decided, hey, they are only $4 including shipping. The sizing is a little big but OK for him. The product is exactly as shown in the picture and actually solid quality so they shouldn’t break easy. You can’t really tell the difference between the official version and this version apart from the size.
The next item I got was a bra/harness. These have been widely popular lately so I decided hey why not. At the time I got this it was free but now it is $4 plus shipping. Expectation V reality is that it is somewhat different from the image. The image from the seller looks like it shows better quality, there Is a loop where the base of the bra is but again is placed different. The cross over where the bra is was also slightly frayed. As I plan to wear it under a top I guess it won’t make much difference. The only shame with this is that it is literally just elastic so that means If I was to do any kind of action such as running or dancing it would quite literally fall off which defeats the purpose. It is ok as a fashion accessory; but not for much else which is a shame.
The next item I got was this bag pack. At the time of purchase it was $10 so a little cheaper than advertised currently with about $3 shipping. At first glance it looks like the picture. However up close the quality isn’t that great. It is made with faux vegan leather but really thin. The wallet and card holder are really flimsy and the bag itself doesn’t zip or clasp. I would say it would work for maybe a day at the beach or pools to store a towel but can’t really think of anything else to use it for. So I was quite disappointed. Would not recommend.
The last item received was this floofy headband. I did pay the advertised price of $4 and free shipping. Now I am used to getting many fluffy items from different places and even though they were cheap, there wasn’t lack of quality. The headband doesn’t hurt and is comfortable to wear for extended periods and the fur is quite soft and fluffy. I had to floof it as it got squashed by packaging and excuse the low light as this was before I got my ring light. Overall expectation V reality is pretty spot on!
So as you can see, with Wish and I guess other sites like EBay and the like, the quality can differ depending on the seller and price. I would recommend looking thoroughly at different sellers for the same product and checking their stock photos. Some sites have different images but taken in real life so it’s really helpful as opposed to a general stock photo!
The wish app can be downloaded to phones ( I use Google play as I have an android) but can also be accessed on the regular web page, you can sign up with email or login with Facebook. You have to sign up before you can view the products.
If you would like me to review other sites please let me know and I will have a look at what I can get and afford! This can include things like makeup, fashion, gear and even like the above where I buy a whole bunch of random things. Please bare in mind I cannot wear some makeup due to allergy such as Maybelline and Loreal.
