I often see so many afraid to wear gear in public, and at first for some it can be a little scary ~ but people aren't going to be as judgemental as you first think!
I've always been one to go out in clothes a little out of the norm, so starting to wear ears out wasn't a big deal for me at all and sorta just, fit my current style anyway.
I'm not going to lie to you tho; the public peeps do have reactions to the ears. Ofcourse they are going to! Just because they are normal to me - doesn't mean its normal to them too!
The other week I got my new fox ears (super cute tiny ones) and I decided to wear them around an outlet store, as I couldn't just wait to try them on so why not.
And around one of the stores, a little boy, probably about 5 or 6 or so, was smiling like heck and begging his mum to look like "mummy mummy look look!!" and didn't stop until she looked and checked out my ears too because he loved them so much. He was giggling too and had a big grin on his face whenever he looked at them - and it defiantly but a smile on both mine and my dads faces too.
One time in a charity store, we were looking for props for a short film we were making and while my friend was looking around, the worker behind the till stopped me for a chat and asked me about my ears and if there was a special occasion I was going to. I just explained this is a normal accessory for me with no real occasion that I was attending. And she was just so impressed that I had the confidence to do that and explained how her grand daughter would love cat ears like that on a headband and how advanced they looked.
Theres honestly a lot of curiosity behind the craft itself, with the clip on ears people are curious as to how I have these random ears sticking out of my head. With the headband ears, people are usually amazed by the skill of how amazing they look, realistic, and fun! People can usually always tell what animal the ears belong to too.
I hope you guys experience as many positive experiences wearing gear in public like I have. And those scared of wearing gear in public ~ you've got this! Honestly.
We'd love to hear about your personal experiences too \^o^/
