Hello again everyone! Today will be about how to be supportive in the community! This might seem quite straightforward, but it's always nice to mention it. We are probably all well-aware of the drama and negativity that can be spread throughout the community so it is always nice to spread positivity when we can.
1. Help new kittens!
- Help out people first entering and seeing the community, answer their questions. Start them off with a good example and give them someone to go to with questions and concerns.
- See a super cute kitten posting a selfie? Tell them! Everyone can use a little pick-me-up now and again, and an honest and kind compliment can definitely be that for someone.
- Appreciate and take note of all kittens in the community. Share the image that the community is for all, and praise people for having the courage to share themselves even if they don't fit what may seem as the "perfect kitten."
4. Stop Comparing!
- All kittens are beautiful in their own way, though many seem to pick out similarities instead. "Copy Cat" kittens are something being brought up a lot recently, and negatively impact the community.
Let people represent themselves how they choose to, and don't grill them if they have some similarities to another kitten.
Obviously the list can continue, but I just thought I'd give some simple pointers for now. I hope this helps some of you and you go out into the world and spread kindness and positivity to your follow kittens!
Lots of Love, - Salem
