I've seen a lot of things going around about how kittens must behave. Each kitten is expected to be playful and energetic, loving and submissive, but also feisty and a wee bit bratty.
Kittens are also forced into specific sexual stereotypes too, where we must behave a particular way in the bedroom or that we must involve kitten-space in our sexual relationships. There are so many social "rules" that kittens must comply with. But honestly they all seem very unrealistic. Its not fair to expect all kittens to behave a set way, when each and every kitten is an individual and using kitten-space for very different reasons. You shouldn't be forced to be a certain type of kitten to be considered valid.
The kitten-community is meant to be a safe place for expression and exploration, but it can be hard to really get involved when you can't identify with much of the content.
So to all kittens out there who are struggling to relate, or feel the need to change who they are to fit in, just remember that there is no one way to be a kitten, and its not worth changing who you are to please others. ^-^ - Anatak
